Contact lens solution ... 4 oz. in carry-on?

The smallest size of the brand my SO uses is 4 oz., rather than 3 oz. as requested by TSA. Anyone had a problem with taking that size through on domestic flights? Thanks ...

from tsa.gov:
"To ensure the health and welfare of certain air travelers there are no limits on the amounts of the following liquids, gels and aerosols you may carry through a security checkpoint:

All prescription and over-the-counter medications (liquids, gels, and aerosols) including .. eye drops, and saline solution for medical purposes; "

Sorry - here's the rest:
"You are not limited in the amount or volume of these above items you may bring in your carry-on baggage. However, if these items are in containers larger than three ounces, please perform the following:

Separate these items from the liquids, gels, and aerosols in your quart-size and zip-top bag.
Declare you have the items to one of our Security Officers at the security checkpoint.
Present these items for additional inspection once reaching the X-ray. These items are subject to additional screening."

My optometrist happens to be located within a Lenscrafters. They have 2 ounce samples of several brands of solution which are handed out free to patients and sold for $1 to non patients.

He has also advised that it's okay to wash a travel sized eye dropper bottle with hot soapy water, allow to dry thoroughly, and fill with your favorite solution.

Limit for contact lens solution is indeed 4oz, not 3 or 3.3.

But they will still hassle you about it. We just came back from FLL and they gave my wife a hard time about her 3.5 oz lens cleaner.

Not certain they will hassle you - no problems for us 2 weeks ago with conact solution larger than 3 ounces.

It was carried separate from other items in their own 1 qt bag, put into the bin, no one blinked, and we went on (3 airports)
