Construction on the four seasons in Maui

Does anyone know if the construction project got started at the four seasons in Maui? Are they on schedule and what will it be like around Oct. 4th? Thanks, Betty

Betty, We arrive for our honeymoon on October 8th. We decided to stick it out. I talked to them in detial about it. I think it will be an inconvenience only if you are really a pool person. We aren't, so we decided to keep our reservations there and if we so desired, use the grand wailea spa. It's the four seasons..they never disappoint.

Stayed there in the summer and they told us they were completely redoing the beach front restaurant. Don't know of anything else that was being done. The hotel is wonderful and I would imagine they'll do everything they can for guests!

We were scheduled to arrive on Sept 28 and decided to change our reservations to the KeaLani. We checked with our travel agent and can switch back to the 4 seasons (providing they have room which I doubt will be a problem) without penalty if it looks okay but we did not want to take the chance. Good Luck

for what it's worth, I just got back yesterday from the Four Seasons on Maui and we were there fully during the construction - for an entire week.

I was thrilled to have the construction going on, seriously!

The resort is at LOW occupancy right now, which means we were upgraded to a partial ocean view room (booked mountainside room), and every morning we had a guaranteed spot at whatever cabana, lounge chair, etc we wanted.

Add the $50 per day discount, and basically we got a big discount on dinner, or we found another way to get "free" stuff.

We occasionally heard sounds but the sound of the fountains really drowned out any noise. Noise was sporadic and we only heard anything maybe 3-4 days out of 8. When we did hear noise it wasn't that bad for reasons mentioned above. Loved the hotel, and everybody there was saying "man, you guys booked at a GREAT time becuase NOBODY is here now!"

Dear recent visitor,
Glad to hear that you had such a great visit to the four seasons during their constuction period. I will be there on Oct.12 and have read so many things on here that I was starting to get a little nervous. So thanks again for the reassuring report.
