Confused about the islands

Im trying to decide between two islands. I'm spending a week in Hawaii. The last two days on Ohau. If you had a choice, which island would you choose for the first three days? Not much into snorkling etc.. Just want to see the islands and relax. Would it be Maui or the Big Island?

For five days I'd stay in one place. Got to www.gohawaii.com & have a read, might help you decide what to do.

If you want to see an active volcano and lava, with a chance to see active lava flowing, choose the Big Island.

If you like lots of sandy beaches, lots of restaurants, tourist activities, easy access to a tropical rain forest with many waterfalls (i.e. Road to Hana)choose Maui.

Maui is beautiful and very relaxing, because it's not as crowded as the Big Island.

Kaudry, The Big Island is called the Big Island because it is BIG and it is the least populated island per square mile and perhaps the least populated anyway. It is not crowded at all. Could you be thinking of Oahu?

I agree with Dawn The Big Island is far less "busy" than Maui.
