Columbus dining?

Visiting Columbus this weekend to attend a Cirque du Soleil show in the arena district...and it also happens to be my mom's birthday, so I am treating her to the show and dinner.

Can anyone recommend a restaurant? Looking for something not too pricy, but nice, with a variety of menu selections? American, steakhouses, and Italian always seem to sit well with mom.....

Particularly looking for something downtown or near the Embassy Suites on Corporate Exchange Drive in the northeast suburbs?

Thanks in advance.

Your best bet IMO would be either Morton's Steak House downtown or any of the Cameron Mitchell Restaurants. The food there is consistently good. Here is their website:

Morton's is pretty pricey. Some other suggestions: Claremont, S. High (south of downtown) Moretti's on Sawmill Rd. (Italian). Lindey's in German Village is also good.

My standard "Where to eat in Columbus?" response:

It rocks. You'll love it.

I would suggest the Cameron Mitchell's restaurant Martini's which is located in the general vicinity of the arena district. Martini's serves Italian, seafood, and steak, and I have never been disappointed there.

I second Martini's. It's a short drive to the Arena District and has great food and a great atmosphere. It's primarily Italian based, but has the steaks, fish, etc. Awesome desserts. Good Luck. (oh it's also on High Street)
