COLORADO AGAIN

Looks like we will be heading for Colorado again this year for vacation. Twice a year my husband does the Poker Run at Rampart Range near Salida. Tried to convince him to forget the Fall Run but no luck. Need suggestions for where I haven't been. RMNP, Colorado Springs, Estes Park, Boulder, Denver, Vail, and the areas surrounding these. Not much for just kicking back and relaxing.

He loves Colorado...if we were younger it's where we would live.

So does that mean you're staying in Salida and are you looking for day trips? When are you going to be here?

There is a GREAT car museum (REAL expensive cars) in Gateway, Colorado. IT is owned by the guy who owns or runs the Discovery Channel.
Very pretty area. It looks like Garden of the Gods in Colo.Springs or Sedona, AZ. We were there last May. It's about 50 miles (I think) outside of Grand Junction. There are alot of wineries near Delta & Grand Junction.

How about Glenwood Springs? Fairy Caves, Hot Springs pool. You'd never forget Hanging Lake. Biking along the river; rafting, shopping. Great place. Doc Holliday lived and died there.

Hi Caller! I'll be out there at the same time. A Fodor coincidence!

I'll be staying with DS in Boulder and probably visit, among other things RMNP and hopefully the Cache Poudre canyon drive if I have a spare day.

Have a wonderful and safe trip where ever you wind up.
