Restaurants are very accessible to Rosenblatt. The ball park is on 13th Street, take 13th Street North about 4 miles and you will be in the "Old Market" district which has about 30 restaurants of various ethnic styles and great gathering place to walk shop and enjoy. Have fun

Another recommendation for the Old Market area. I was there in March and had a great meal at a place called Butsy LeDeux (I think that's what it was called). Anyway, it was a cajun place and had some pretty good food.

I have heard of the Old Market area but don't know any restaurants by name. We will have to drive through that area and see what we find. We want something unique to Omaha. Have heard Nebraska beef is good.

There is a city lot you can park your car in and then just wander around the Old Market. I was there in the middle of winter and the temperatures were in the single digets so we didn't wander around too much, but it looked great for stolling during warmer weather. It looked like there were several pubs as well and most restaurants had seating out front where you could watch the people pass by.

A few of my favorites in the old market are V Mertz, M's Pub, Indian Oven, Vivace, Delice (for lunch) and nearby Passport.

I've never been impressed with Omaha Prime and Austin's has slid in service/quality etc. in the last few years as has the local Garden Cafe.

I found a web site allaboutomaha.com
If we are dressed in shorts and t-shirts will we be too casual for some of these resaurants. V Mertz, Passport and Omaha Prime look pretty formal.

People dress as they want in Omaha. Sure some will be in slacks, etc. especially at lunch since the Old Market is walking distance for downtown workers. But you won't feel that out of line and they are expecting you to be casual coming for the World Series.

go to www.omaha.com click on the link for RESTAURANT GUIDE on the left side and choose either downtown or midtown restaurants will give you an idea of choices around the general area of Rosenblatt Stadium. Many good ones!
