Coast to coast

I am going from Blythe, ca. to Sumter, sc. I am in no hurry and want to avoid mountain ranges and high elevations at all costs. Which route should i take?

I-10 via San Antonio or I-10 to I-20 through Dallas. The latter is likely faster. The former flatter.
