Flyer? Did you go yet? I walked past it yesterday to check it out for my relatives coming in the spring and spoke with them - seems amazingly wonderful - it does look like their web photos - which is always nice - wondering though if you did actually stay there -.....

I haven't gone yet. However, when all was said and done I opted for The Lenox. I was able to get an amazingly good rate, for a very nice room, at the last minute, so I grabbed it. For me, Boylston ( a block from the Copley station) is the ideal location. I'm sure the Clarendon Square Inn is LOVELY. I've heard only the best about it but I opted for convenience. I do however plan to take some time to explore the South End. Thanks again for all your help.

Thanks for answering flyer !
We will all look forward to your trip report.
I walked to this Inn from Westin/Copley and it was a few blocks and easy walk -a great spot and the owners store is just at the next block, also a cool place 'Motley Home' - and also the Tremont 647 restaurant on the other.

You will love the Lenox, and there is something to be said sometimes for having hotel amenities - this Inn would be great for me b/c our place is a few blocks from there and so the family would be at our place other times and really only be sleeping there so it should work out great -

Looking forward to your trip report and I do hope you take the time to print out a map and stroll through the South End and enjoy a meal here or at the least, a snack in one of the bakeries - or a cupcake ! If I didn't give it to you already, southend.org is a good site to see if soemthing is going on while you are here -

have a good trip

My DH and I stayed there this past weekend. Our room was large and comfortable and very clean. There is no elevator and our room was located on the 5th floor, so if stairs are a problem ask for a room on a lower floor.
It was approx. 5-10 minute walk to the T stop and Copley Square.
Escargot I understand your preference for walking at night. We did go to Bob's Southern Bistro Saturday night and I felt very comfortable walking.
We had a great stay, we were close to everything and would definitely stay there again
