CityWalk or Pleasure Island?

Going to Orlando next month with my husband -and meeting his friend there...we are not hugely into dancing-definately into cocktails and having fun...we will probably only be able to go to one of these places-which is it?

Citywalk. PI is much more nightclub/party atmosphere. Citywalk has some dance clubs ( the groove) but as a whole, it is more into having cocktails. Be aware if you are not going on a Fri/Sat night it may be dead.

City Walk for sure. Much better bar scene vs. clubs though there are a few just in case you change your mind. Traffic wise easier to get in and out of than PI.

Both are really cool. However, if drinking and loungeing in a bar is your primary goal I would say City Walk. The bars are better there too I think. You have Bob Marley's, Margaritaville, Pat O'Brian's (with dueling pianos I think), the Hard Rock, Motown Cafe had great Cosmopolitans downstairs with a small dance floor. The NBA place had great food and a super bar. Micro brews and stuff I think.

As you can tell, we had a GREAT time while at the Hard Rock Hotel for a week. And the bounus was that the hotel was no more than a 5 minute stumble from City Walk.
