Across the Ohio River in Covington, Kentucky, there is a revolving restuarant atop a hotel. It may be a Holiday Inn but it's a circular hotel; you can't miss it. It takes about 70 minutes to make a full revolution and you can overlook downtown Cincinnati as a harpist plays music for you (at least she did when I was there in 1991). Again, I believe this is a Holiday Inn but it may have changed operators since I was there seven years ago. There is only one revolving restaurant in the Queens City (unless another one was built), so that's the one you want. Enjoy your meal and Happy Birthday to your wife.

There is a restaurant called Dee Felice Cafe located near Mainstrasse Village in Covington, KY, right across the river from Cincinnati that is extremely romantic, great service, and excellent food. I highly recommend this for a very romantic evening!

Rob: Skip the revolving restaurants - unless you're going out for prom. The best restaurant in Cincinnati, without exception, is the Maisonette. It is expensive, but very romantic and serves excellent food and wine. I also suggest going for wine or cocktails at a bar in the Mount Adams area, which is very nice and enjoys a fine view of the city. Enjoy.

Check out Scoti's for reasonable Italian Food on Vine Street Downtown. Any restaurant in Mount Adams is a good bet. Check out Fountain Square at night, or travel up the hill to one of the many parks which feature overlooks of the city (parks close at 10:00)

I have lived in Cincinnati all my life and though I agree with the previous postings about the Maisonette (have dined there twice and it was absolutely wonderful both times), it is extremely expensive. IF you're not looking to spend an arm and a leg, Dee Felice in Covington is a good bet. So is the Celestial in Mt. Adams, along with Morton's of Chicago steakhouse downtown on 4th Street. All are good suggestions, and since I used to be in the event planning business, these are the restaurants we would always suggest to our out of town clients. Enjoy!!!
