Christmas shopping in Sante Fe

Just found out I will be traveling to Sante Fe for a few days (husband has a meeting & I have been invited along). Dec 2-5, 2016. Would love to pick up some fun gifts while in town. Jewelry, pottery, etc. any favorite shop recommendations would be appreciated. Will be staying by the plaza but will have a car.

Several years ago I bought some great pottery at a great shop not in old downtown. Beauty full bright colors with flowers, berries, birds. Can't remember the name. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you for your help

My favorite place to shop in Santa Fe is the Palace of the Governors on the Plaza. Local artists set out their wares outside, all of which have to meet strict guidelines as to the origin and quality of the materials used (I don't know the details of that, though, maybe someone else can chime in). And you can chat with most of the artists, which I love to do. Prices really vary, but this is the good stuff, so it's not always cheap.

Jackaloupe may be where you went:

NM Museum has a nice gift shop:

Be sure to walk Canyon Road to see some wonderful galleries.

Georgia O'Keefe Museum also has nice gift shop.

Ortegas

You didn't ask, but if you have a chance, go have drinks and listen Ronald Roybal; he's amazing. Prickly Pear Margaritas are the best...

I pick up a Jil Gurule Christmas ornament almost every time I'm in Santa Fe. The ornaments are much prettier than the pics on the website.
