Christmas Lunch in San Antonio
Need a recommendation for Christmas day. Will most likely stay at one of the Marriotts
or the Hyatt on the Riverwalk. I am guessing that there will be a buffet type offering at one of the big hotels. Will have a family of 5 and would like a special meal. Something to
appeal to all tastes but above average offerings. Is there a place you locals would recommend? It dosen't have to be buffet but I am thinking that most restaurants will be closed. Thank you.

I live in San Antonio & last year we had Christimas lunch at the Hyatt Hill Country. I think it was about $35 per person, and it was great. Several different food stations and a hugh selection of deserts. Plus live music.
You definately need to make advance reservations.

You have some good choices right in the downtown area. The St. Anthony hotel has a terrific holiday brunch buffet with a broad enough array of food that all should be satisfied. La Mansion del Rio (my favorite) has a champagne buffet brunch in their Las Canarias restaurant that is excellent. The Hyatt usually has a brunch, too, and it is generally OK, but the other two are a cut (or two) above.
Feliz navidad, y'all!
