Christmas Dinner in Manhattan

I'm wondering which restuarant is a better choice for Christmas Dinner: Tavern on the Green, Sea Grill or Rainbow Room? Thanks!

Tavern on the Green will be the most over-the-top decorated, lights, etc. If that's what you're going for, it's a fine choice. The food is best of these three chocies at the Sea Grill. Rainbow Room is a beautiful view and the dancing is fun, but the food is not very good---and extremely expensive.

So depending upon what is most important to you, I'd stick to Sea Grill or Tavern.

Are the views just as good at the Sea Grill as at Tavern on the Green? What about the food comparasions?

I love both places. At the Sea Grill you get to view the skaters at Rockefeller Center which is always fun for me. Food is great at both places.

Tavern on the Green is only pretty, the food stinks.
The Rainbow Room has the best view but is also iffy on the food and way overpriced and stuffy in atmosphere.
From this choice, I would pick the Sea Grill.

Lumping those restaurants together is like asking would I rather be blind or deaf. It is a painful thing.

Sara--Sea Grill is the only one of the 3 I would say has very good food, especially in the price range of all of them. It will offer you views over Rock Center with the teeny-tiny ice rink (if you haven't seen it, everyone thinks it looks smaller than they thought it would be!)

But Tavern on the Green is a destination unto itself---not for food, but the for lights extravaganza, and if there's snow, pulling up in Central Park is pretty.

Good luck deciding--and getting a reservation!

Why not do a combo? View the skaters from street level, after you get good and cold ,take the elevator to the RAINBOW ROOM for cocktails at the bar..Great view... Then catch a cab for dinner at T O G.bE SURE YOU MAKE RESERVATIONS,AND TIP FOR A WINDOW TABLE..fOOD,VIEW.AND ALL THAT GOOD STUFF IS THE BEST AT tavern. After dinner take a carrage ride back to rock center..MERRY CHRISTMAS
