Chicago river cruise help!
Hey all - We'll be in Chicago at the end of Oct. and am wondering about the architectural river cruises. I've been to Chicago, but my husband hasn't, so I thought we'd check it out. Any recommendations? There are a lot to choose from. Not into "cheesiness," just a nice, quiet cruise down the river with commentary would be great. One that offers wine would be even better.... ;-) Thanks!

We did the CAF tours as per the link above. It was great. About an hour and a half which is just long enough. It was very interesting. It was also a beautiful day which was nice. You want to try to go when the weather is nice as you want to sit outside.
They did have a bar on board so wine was available.

Thanks everyone! I'd like to wait until we get there to get the tickets, to make the most of the weather. We can only do this on a sat. or Sun though. Would you risk waiting?
Thanks again!~

I also took the CAF tour - really great. The tour I was on looked like it was sold out, but I took it in June; I'm not sure what the crowds are like in October. I might wait until a few days before the weekend to get at least an idea of the weather, but personally I'd reserve beforehand to be sure of getting a spot.
