Chicago Restaurants

My sister and I going to Chicago for a long weekend at the end of April. We have already made reservations at Roy's and Gibson's steakhouse. We still need a restaurant for Saturday night. We are up for any cuisine and staying on the magnificent mile. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thank you.

Go to Metromix.com. Go to the restaurant section. If you want to stay in the area, select Gold Coast, River North or North Michigan Avenue in the "area" section of restaurants. You can read reviews. I live in Chicago, and I'm on that website on a daily basis! Have fun.

I second Dori's suggestion. Metromix is a wonderful resource. But, one word of warning...It's not always updated. In our area, there's one case in which there's a restaurant on Metromix that not only no longer exists, but there have been two other restaurants in that space since its demise! So, if you find something you like, call ahead and make sure it's still there!

We enjoyed The Webber Grill restaurant (it was not too fancy and the prices were decent) and also if like Chinese food, PF Changs is good.

I love BeBop Joe's on Navy Pier. They have a salad called the Big Band salad and it's loaded with everything. It's fun to look at all the pictures too.

Cullen's - north of downtown, on Southport - is good too. Good Irish/English pub food.

You really should try Frontera Grill on Clark in the River North section adjacent to the Michigan Ave. area.

Roy's, of course, is a chain. Chicago has soooo many good restaurants it's hard for me to imagine eating at a chain like Roy's or P.F. Changs.

Butter is great! 130 South Green Street 312.666.9813

I always do a look up at http://www.eatsleepgo.com/IL.html just to see the expert reviews of the restaurants in the area and where it is on the map.
