Chicago Midway Radisson

Has anyone stayed at the Radisson near Chicago Midway? Please share your thoughts. I am thinking of using the Sleep and fly rate at this location. thanks.

Midway is in a very rough part of Chicago - I'd be careful about any hotel in the area personnally. Most look like they rent by the hour. Can you get an address of the place, picture, etc?

I have stayed in the Courtyard by Marriott near the Midway airport and the hotels all bunched together are all safe and they do not rent by the hour. It is not the most friendly area but if you are there strictly on business the hotel area is safe. Free hotel shuttles are available to and from the airport and is convenient.

Thanks for your replies:

here is the web site of the hotel:

http://www.radisson.com/alsipil

The address is:
Radisson Hotel Chicago-Alsip
5000 West 127th Street
Alsip Illinois 60803

You can leave your car parked there and take a free shuttle. It is 8 miles away from Midway.

Please let me know what you think.

Having only been there for a class reunion several years ago, and stayed nearby with relatives, I would say it is a very nice hotel. Although the hotel is near the interchange, the community beyond is very nice.
