Cheyenne

Coming to Cheyenne the first week of Jan.

What hotels are nearest FE Warren AFB? Looking for someplace nice to stay close by to the base and in an area where some services are close by.

Thank you

We stayed at a place called Little America. I remember we had a big, clean, nicely furnished room. However, I don't know how it is located in relation to the AFB.

Warren AFB is located just to the northwest of the junction of I-25 and I-80. According to my Maps & Streets, the closest hotel/motel is a Quality Inn located on Walker Rd just east of I-25. There are also more than a dozen located just east of I-25 on and around Lincoln Way. All of these are within 2 miles of WAFB.

Cheyenne's relatively small--you could be in a hotel on the other side of town from Warren and still not have to travel far. Little America is nice--make sure you're in the main building or at least ask for a remodeled room. It sounds silly but their coffee shop has great food and wonderful malts.

Other than LA, the Wingate or Hampton Inn would be the hotels I recommend. They're the newest in town. Some of the others have been around a long time and have seen some hard use but any of these three would be fine.

Would you believe that I, the famous ex-jet setter, has stayed at Little America in Cheyenne?? I was doing a fashion shoot in Jackson Hole and ended up getting stuck in Cheyenne with a photog and a supermodel. Anyway, I liked Little American--everyone was so nice. And I agree that the coffee shop has very good food.

Happy New Year

bodi,

It's okay but they're pretty darn proud of their hotel and the prices reflect that.
