Cheeca Lodge or Casa Morada?
My husband and I are planning a trip to Islamorada for 4 - 5 days. We are trying to decide where to stay - Cheeca Lodge or Casa Morada. We're looking for a nice / luxury hotel with a beautiful room and view. We like upscale accomodations. My husband likes to snorkel - I like to lay on the beach and do nothing. We're going for our anniversary? Anoyone have a suggestion?

I agree with GoTravel. We stayed at the Cheeca Lodge years ago...over 10 years ago and paid $400 for our one night. It was okay, but nothing special. We drove next door to the Moorings and it looked much better. mooringsvillage.com
Let me just add, essatche, that the keys are NOT beach destinations. The keys are coral and all beaches are man-made with imported sand - hopefully you've done enough research to realize that!

The Moorings does not have any availability for the dates we are planning on travelling. I have researched the Keys and I know that the beaches are not spectacular. We're really going for a nice weekend to relax, catch up with one another, and enjoy some sunshine. Just wanted a beautiful room, good service, and a a nice beach bar. Thanks for your help.
