This is a new product from the people who originally developed the LondonPass. There has been a great deal of debate about the London Pass's value, over on the Europe boards. But that's primarily because, unlike New York, in London most of the museums are free.
The best thing to do is to figure out how many of their benefits you'd actually use, and then cost it out. $39 for a one-day pass is a LOT of money, though at $93 the 7-day pass looks a bit more reasonable. Just look at their list of benefits and think about how many museums, shopping discounts, etc. you'd actually use in one day.
As for the free transport pass feature -- a one-day unlimited bus pass costs just $4 anyway, and a one-week pass, $17.
P.S. Their promotion of the NBC Studios tour features a photo of Jay Leno, whose show originates in Burbank, CA. Hmmmm. . .

This might be better value for some:
The New York City Pass ($38) http://www.citypass.net/ny/index.html
gives entry to these:
American Museum of
Natural History
Guggenheim Museum
Intrepid Sea Air Space
Museum
The Museum of Modern Art
Empire State Building
Observatory
Circle Line Harbor Cruise
Whitney Museum of
American Art
and is valid for nine days from first use. Nb it doesn't include metro cards but these are only $4/day.
