Cheap Flight Anywhere for Memorial Day weekend

My birthday is Memorial Day weekend and I want to get away, but am looking to spend $200-$250 roundtrip. Any suggestions? I don't want to go to Arizona or Nevada.

If you let us know what part of the country you are in it will help to give you some ideas. Thanks!

enjoylife,

I don't mean to be rude, but how many fodorites do you expect to have knowledge of current airfare deals--unless they did some research?

Why not check expedia or orbitz or the website of your local airline(s) to see what is available and for how much?

I'm not seeing a lot of deals. Although San Francisco and Portland are in your range.

I'd check Southwest or Alaska right now. They have some $49/79/99 one-way deals depending on your point of origin.

I was itching to go somewhere that same weekend, and ended up booking a trip to Spokane for $118/rt on Southwest. I had been wanting to check out that area, so I'm excited for this trip. I'll have a car, and will probably check out Coeur d'Alene at the same time.

If you can bump your budget up by $38...

From LAX:
Honolulu
$288 (ATA; no min stay; travel any day thru Jun 15; NW matching with min 3 night stay; Travelocity flex search)

I finally gave up and booked a Courtyard by Marriott in Oxnard for $45 a night. It will be a mini roadtrip. I can go to Ojai, Ventura, Santa Barbara, etc.
