cheap 36 hour parking near downtown seattle ??

This weekend, I will be staying in downtown Seattle (at the W). I will have a car and will need to use it up until Friday ~8-10pm. I will not need the car again until Sunday morning ~10am. So that's about 36 hours where I need to park this car.

I don't want to pay the $30+ per day for parking at the W. I tried looking into parking at the Seattle Center and taking the monorail, but according to the website parking is good for 0-10 hours...so that's not long enough.

Ideal solution would be somewhere reasonably priced, close by, and where I can just leave it there the whole time without having to go back to move it/pay for it/etc. Ideally, it would be in-and-out in case I wanted to use the car during the 36 hour period, but it's not critical and I know that's asking a lot.

Any suggestions? (besides not having a car. the car is basically paid for and I do want it Friday night and Sunday morning)

The best idea I can think of is to park the car overnight on the street on Friday (onstreet parking is free between 6 PM and 8 AM and all day Sunday), then put it into a garage or lot before 8 AM on Saturday (several places in/near downtown offer all day parking on Sat for one price--such as the Nordstrom building on 7th and Stewart which I think is still $4 for all day on weekends), then park it on the street again after 6 PM on Sat. Not ideal since you'd have to move it several times but it will save you money.

The garages that I can think of downtown are going to be in the $25-ish range for 24 hours so in that case you may as well pay the $30 at the W for the convenience and in and out privileges.

If you drive up Pike Street or Pine Street you may find a lot that charges $15-$20 for 24 hours.

The Broadway Market Garage at 806 Harrison Street (206) 324-0107 charges $15 for 24 hours, but it isn't convenient to W Hotel.

Another option is to drive down First Avenue to the Pioneer Square area where you will probably find parking for less that $30 per day.

Ah, just noticed it was for the weekend just past. Oh well. For future reference, why not turn the car in at the downtown branch of the rental co. and get another one on Sunday?

You could have also driven up into one of the residential neighborhoods like Capitol Hill and parked it on the street. Just make sure it is on the side of the street that is open (i.e., not posted a Zone 4 or whatever). There's always spots near Volunteer Park on 15th. You could have caught the #10 bus downtown.
