Ahhh...thanks Gretchen. I guess it's obvious that I haven't been in Charlotte that long.
I think it would be nice to sit outside wherever we go, and I was thinking of Gado Gado's patio as well because of that. But again, I am very very open.
Robes, that would be great if you could join us!
So, does anyone want to throw out some possible dates? With the exception of a trip back to St. Louis next weekend I have nothing really going on until the holidays.

Aha....so I guess you guys aren't buddies then, huh?
I'm so excited to have a GTG and meet some fellow fodorites! So, any dates? How about the last weekend in September or any weekend in October? Friday night? Saturday lunch or dinner? Does any of these work/not work for anyone?
Thanks!

The first couple of weeks in Oct. are out for me, I'll be in NOLA the first one, Ohio the 2nd. Sept. looks better. I'm inclined to have early drinks, & if people want to stay for dinner, the option would be available. But, I will defer to the majority, & seasoned GTGers.

I'll be there tonight! We are leaving for St. Louis early tomorrow morning and won't be back until Tuesday so tonight is our only chance. I haven't been yet but heard great things so I'm looking forward to it!

Sorry I'm responding so late! I was gone for an extended holiday weekend and its been busy at work lately!
SA, it looks like we may be the only ones at the GTG because nobody else will respond with dates!!

Hi - I just saw this post. I have been PC challenged and finally signed back on w/ a revised name!!! I am also in Charlotte and would love to come to the GTG, but I will be at Parents Weekend up at ASU in Boone the last part of Sept. I also have plans in mid-Oct, but don't let my schedule dictate.
Tracy - thanks for starting this thread.

Hey tcreath- I am a new poster and would love to come to a GTG in Charlotte where I live.
Early November would be good for me. Just a suggestion- Big Ben Pub in Myers Park is fun as well as Sir Edmund Halley's - Park Rd Shop Ctr. We did a New Year's gathering there last yr. and it was really fun atmosphere.
Is Robispierre still coming? I have been reading Fodors for some time and would love to meet the "celebrity"!
