Charleston, where to stay with Hilton Points?
Hi all, I am wondering where 4 women in their mid-20's should stay. One of our husbands has Hilton points for us to use. We are not very picky, doesn't have to be 5*, but since we have points and it would be free it might as well be nice!
We are interested in the historic sights, the beaches and a bit of night life (though just visiting the beach is ok, we don't need to stay there unless someone convinces us). We are going for 3 days the first week of May. Any recommendations would be helpful. I have been to Charleston once, but only for a day and a half and we didn't stay in the city.
Any guidance and suggestions are appreciated!

The Hilton is too far away from all the action in Charleston. For a good hotel in downtown Charleston, I would choose either the Indigo Inn (about $99) or the Francis Marion Hotel (about $110). This is where all the nightlife is. You can visit the beaches easily from any of these places. Across from the Francis Marion is a great bar called the Terrace. Just ask the front desk about it. Also, Club Trio and Rue de Jean are all within walking distance of the Francis Marion, and both places are very popular.
From the Indigo Inn are also some great places. I'd be happy to go in depth if you have any more questions.

Thanks Olivia, I may be getting back to you with other questions, as you seem to be a great resource.
One bit of clarification is that the Hilton points can be used for a few different brand name hotels, I'm not exactly sure which ones but perhaps someone on this board will know!

The Doubletree is part of the Hilton chain. The Doubletree in Charleston is in a GREAT location. Valet park your car and don't pick it up again until you leave. The location is steps from the best shopping and dining in Charleston in the Historic Distric. King Street is some of the best shopping you will find anywhere. Great trendy boutiques (about 1/4 chain stores such as Gap, Banana Republic, BeBe, J.Crew, Ralph Lauren, Gucci, Saks Fifth Avenue)and the rest are independent clothing boutiques, antiques, shoe stores, book stores and tons more stuff.
