Headed to Charleston soon and will not rent a car. Does anyone have a preference for transportation between the airport and the historic district? From what I've read a taxi will run @ $30 and there are shuttles. Or, is there only one shuttle that services the airport? Are reservations necessary? Looking for recommendations--thanks in advance!

You won't need a reservation. Taxis and shuttles are just outside the door of the airport next to baggage claim. Just go to the little kiosk you'll see in front of you when you leave the building. Take a shuttle if you don't mind several stops. I always just take a cab.

Ah, yes, restaurant week. This year, I'm going to Anson's, Oak, Tristan, and McCrady's. Then I will need a nap.

I think we're going to Fat Hen and Husk (maybe, if we reserve early enough) It is such a great way to sample restaurants without breaking the budget.

Both of those are great. I'd go to Fat Hen all the time if I lived on that side.
