Charleston S.C. Restaurants

Will be in Charleston in a few weeks and was wonderful about restaurants. Have made reservations at Hanks, Fleet Landing and Charleston Grill. Any other favorites

There are so many choices, and most are great.

I recommend Hominy Grill or Jestine's for lunch. Go early, especially if you're going on a weekend. Hominy is has some parking.

I also like FIG, Amen Street, and the outdoor patio at 82 Queen. The she crab soup at 82 Queen is a local favorite.

We were there the beginning of May (2011) and ate at Hank's and Fleet Landing.

I would highly recommend both.

Definitely SNOB -- the best food I had in the city during my trip there. Will second the she-crab soup at 82 Queen also, but was less impressed otherwise there. Was not too taken with Jestine's. Bessinger's does decent mustard-sauce style BBQ, with the chopped pork being the best meat option.

Our favorite is SNOB. Tried Magnolia's the last time we were there and thought it only so-so...check out the menus online before you go - should help...
