Charleston hotels...

Has anyone stayed at either The Doubletree Suites Hotel or the Renaissance Hotel? If so, how were they?

Love the Doubletree. One of the best located hotels in town. You can valet park your car and walk everywhere! The Renaissance is further out.

Stayed at the Renaissance recently and loved it. We got upgraded somehow to an end room which was huge. It may be a little further out from the center of the old town, but we never hesitated to walk everywhere, and it is only a block or two from the market.
