I give Peninsula top ranking in this list. Number two spot would go to Magnolia's. My last meal at McCradys with the new chef and management was not impressive. Not bad, mind you, but not impressive and the service was downright annoying.

We love, love, love the Peninsula Grill, and like cmcfong, I would give it the number one slot. I have only eaten at Hank's and Magnolia's once each. We've had dinner at Hank's and lunch at Magnolia's. I would say both were about equally good. I've read mixed reviews about McCrady's, since the takeover of Chef Sean Brock. I know that he is a very innovative chef and loves to experiment with food. One of my favorite websites for Charleston restaurant reviews is www.charlestoncitypaper.com. Click on cuisine in the menu and you can find all sorts of interesting articles about food in Charleston.

I would. I had saved McCrady's as the "big treat" meal for my Charleston visit in April. Bad call on my part. The most pretentious service ever. The food was OK, but not impressive. I did not return when I was in Charleston two weeks ago.
Magnolia's has informed and good service and excellent food. By the way, I went to Hank's two weeks ago with a party of 18 and was very pleased with the food quality and the service.
