Charleston B&B - which one?

I am taking my girlfriend to Charleston in early April, where I am planning to propose to her. I am trying to find a B&B that combines romance, charm, and friendliness. I have narrowed it down to 3 possibilities: Elliott House, Meeting Street Inn, and Hayne House. We will not have a car. Any advice? Thank you!!

Look at The Planters Inn. One of the most beautiful places in Charleston and excellent location.

If money is no object the place to go is Two Meeting Street--hands down.

Two Meeting Street ...very romantic.
How about proposing at sunset while riding in a horse drawn carriage?...I said "yes" when my hubby did that for me in Charleston.

Although I really like several of the B & B's on the Battery, The PLanters Inn would be best due to its location (sans car). They also have one of the better restaurants in town & if you advise them of the occasion, I am certain they will make it very special.

Don't forget about the Venude Inn! Located near the Waterfront Park with its view of the water and the "porch swings." Within walking distance to some fantastic eats, too! Slightly North of Broad-mmmmm!

jsiefendorf--

I always stay at the Elliot House...Rooms are furnished with Schumacher prints on walls, with armoires and 4 poster beds...

Room service ( continental bkfst) is served on a silver tea service..

BnB has complimentary bikes for riding thru the battery..and it is 1 block from the MARKET and 1/2 block off King Street ( the main shopping street)..

BnB also has a large hot tub with a grape arbor over it..holds about 10 people- which comes in handy after running around the HOT Charleston heat..and you will need it in April...

Plus the BnB serves wine and cheese outside in the patio near the hot tub..

Very romantic and convivial atmosphere--

We have been staying there for over 18 years and it books up fast...
Ask for a room on the 3rd floor facing the rear of the courtyard..
