Changing Terminals at PHL
Planning an international trip for an elderly couple...can anyone tell me about Philly airport. From a domestic USAirExpress flight, to an international flight...is it just a tramride type change of terminal, or a long long walk...or a shuttle bus, or what? Thanks!

tracy, I'm topping your question...because hopefully PHL has changed. But the last time I flew through (may 06), there were no shuttle buses, and long long illogical walks. We were flying Air Tran and had to leave the airport, go outside on the sidewalk, then re-enter a different terminal just to get our bags. I couldn't believe it. This was a domestic flight.
So I'm hoping someone out there will say things have improved...what airline is the international flight on?
I'm thinking they probably could hail one of those airport scooters though, especially if they "act" elderly.

US Air Express flights will arrive in terminal F; from there, go to gate F-10. You can get a shuttle either to gate C-16 for domestic US Airways flights or a shuttle to the A terminal which is where most International flights depart from. The shuttle ride itself is easy; it just takes a few minutes to get from F to A. You will not have to re-enter security.
If the international flight is on a carrier other than US Airways, they should confirm with that carrier whether the flight will leave from the A terminal.
