Championsgate Omni in Orlando anyone?
We booked this hotel for mid July with my family...By reviews on other websites it looks like a fabulous place to be!
Has anyone else ever been at this property? We were down to the JW Marriott and this property---chose this one......let me know if anyone has ever been here! I will post a review after my trip.

I've stayed there a few times. We absolutely loved it. I've also stayed at the JW Marriott. We found the Omni rooms to be bigger (no surprise there, a common complaint about the JW is that the rooms are on the small side). The pools are truly stunning and the lazy river is really great. The lazy river at the Omni moves you around better, it has a better current than at the JW. We also liked the fact that the there's a publix right before the Omni, so you can pick up stuff if needed.
I think you'd be happy at either location - they are both great hotels. The JW does share a fantastic spa with the Ritz, if you wanted that amenity. But the Omni has a great workout room just like the JW.
Feel free to ask any specific questions and I'd be happy to answer them!

Birder,
A huge thank you!!for answering my question!!
We are definitely looking forward to staying there...another thing that turned me off about the JW Marriott was valet parking 14.00 a day!At the omni you get to self-park if you wish.I have 2 1/2 year old twins so there will be alot to do there!!I will definitely make use of the spa there too I see they have. The prices don't seem to be bad either.
Did you stay in a "deluxe" room or "premium" room? We got a good rate and are going with the premium room.It jumps to a 2 bedroom and we don't need the extra room...thanks so much for your help!~

That's right - it's like $7/day for self parking at the JW, and free parking at the Omni.
I think with 2 1/2 year old twins, the Omni is better because it's less stuffy. It's also usually less crowded (the JW has lots of conferences).
We stayed in the lower end room, I forget what it was called. We thought it was great.
Whatever you do, make sure you join Omni's Select Guest program if you are not already a member. The last time I stayed, you got free juices in the morning and some other perks.
Either the JW or the Omni has a kid's pool slide. I think it's the Omni, but I can't be 100% sure.
But the Omni does have the "Omni Kids Camp" or something like that. I don't know what the charge is, but you could potentially look into that.
My husband & I really enjoyed the "Zen Experience" at the Zen Restaurant at the Omni - it's $40 a person, they bring out samples of just about everything on the menu. If you like something, they bring out more. It's very fun.
Have a great time and make sure to post a trip report here when your vacation is over!
