Hi Andrew - I think a green card will suffice for this. About the theater - I never remember how the seats are in any of them. I think this is an older theater so I would guess that they're not that roomy, but I'm not sure. I wish I could be of more help.

CP,
I just purchased tickets for 2/21 at 2pm, center orch., 14th row isle seats.

I didn't do opening weekend as I'm not sure were going to be home for the long holiday weekend.

Thank you so much for letting me know about the tickets going on sale.

How is DH doing and how are you holding up?
Hope the work on your apartment is coming along nicely.

andrew - so glad you got tix and great seats too (remember, no blazer!).

Today was better. I got to the hospital almost evening because of the 'demolition' at home. I fell asleep while dh was talking to me. He is in better spirits. I think 'tough love' worked yesterday. He pointed out to me that he got out of bed and shaved this afternoon. But he got so tired that he didn't finish under his chin and neck - lol - he'll finish tomorrow.

The floor guy (an Israeli) is supposed to fix my bedroom floor and carpet tomorrow. When I told him he has to fix it in one day, my super gave me a look. I said, please...he won a war in six days; surely he can fix my floor in one...give me a break!

CP,
Glad today was a better day for DH. Lets hope they finish up the work soon in your apartment.
You should make plans for an R and R weekend at the Mayflower Inn in CT. It's the perfect spot to catch up on rest which is what you need now.

CP!!
You don't like my blue blazer

andrew, I love a blue blazer, but for 'Hair' you have to be a little wild!

You've given me an idea. Our anniversary is in Feb and our birthdays are in March. Maybe for one or the other, a weekend at an inn would be a good idea. Is Mayflower Inn a place to visit when it's cold?

CP,
You can go anytime of year as it's the perfect place to relax and have some spa treatments. You could have a nice fire going in your room during the winter months. I think it's the perfect place for you both right now after what you both have been through lately plus it's a close drive from the City.
We had plans to go in mid Jan. but instead we're going to Savannah for the GTG.

Hopefully, a last update. After 17 days, dh is home - a little beaten up and quite thin, but home!!! We will have a wonderful Thanksgiving. And I want to thank all of you again for the good thoughts and all the support!

CPG, I've been following your progress, and I know we could pass on the street and not recognize each other, but I still feel so happy for you that your husband is home!

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Ditto! Will he be able to eat a real Thanksgiving meal? Don't stress yourself out cooking - just relax and enjoy yourselves!

Yay! cpg and DH are home!
Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving. I suppose meeting for drinks will have to wait for the next trip but you'll be in my thoughts. Hugs to both of you!

CP,
I'm so relieved DH is home from the hospital. May I suggest a Pinot Noir
wine bath to ease your stress. You've been through so much lately and hope you can now get some well needed rest.

Hi - Just read your entire thread. What an ordeal you have been through! So glad to hear your husband is home now, and I that you will have a "thankful" Thanksgiving. Perhaps the two of you will also have a chance to revisit the memories from your wonderful trip to California. You certainly did manage to experience a great deal!

Thank you starrs, stu, andrew8, momdd, tdudette, bmw, loveitaly, sf7307, elnap29, toucan2, debbie and all - wishing you all a wonderful Thanksgiving tomorrow.

andrew - I prefer pinot noir in a glass! Wishing you and SG a good holiday!

starrs - please come back soon - I really would love to see you again. I hope your visit is wonderful.

sf7307 - dh won't be able to eat everything I make - way too rich and I don't want to kill him the first week he's home. But there will be plenty of options for him for sure. I don't know how to do the holiday cooking without stressing. I was planning on not baking. When I went to buy a pie earlier, my son was with me and when he saw the price ($25), he said he would bake it - and he just did (with a little help) and his apple galette looks gorgeous! As my mother would say: you live to see everything!

Thanks for asking tdudette. Tomorrow is six weeks since surgery; he's come a long way, but the going is slow. Last week, he went back to work (too soon imo) part time (4-5 hours per day instead of 10-11 hrs + commute.) He gets fatigued easily and still has pain. But, going back to work is very good for his head if you know what I mean. We will see the surgeon on the 29th. Have a HEALTHY NEW YEAR!!!

Back atcha! Good health is everything, eh?

In general, I think it's more difficult for a guy to be ill-they can be less patient and less realistic than women. My DH had a bout with cancer (he's fine now) and he was kind of a pain in the patootle AFTER he got through all the hard parts like surgery, chemo and radiation.

Best for the hols and 2009, Donna (the travel dudette)
