Celine boogie bag

Hi,

I am headed off to the Big Apple from the UK in a couple of weeks and would love to get the Celine boogie bag, looking at the bloomingdales website and others it's cheaper than the UK but still $1100 for a bag??!!

Does anyone have any ideas where I can get my bag for less than the rrp? perhaps an outlet?

Thank you

My daughter's name is Celine, and everywhere I have gone across the USA I have looked for their bags at outlet stores and have never seen one. It is typical to find D&B and Coach in discount stores but I think they keep the Celine name very exclusive by not doing the outlet store route.

Is there any way you can buy online and have it delivered to you in NY while you're there? I have never heard of these bags but I did a quick Google search and found many at discounted prices.

There are indeed seemingly lots of options online for around $650. I don't know any of these sellers though.

Unlikely you'll find this bag discounted at retail unless it's a weird color.

If you should buy it at Bloomingdales, you should be entitled to the 11% discount they offer visitors if you register at customer service before shopping. If it's a popular bag (I'm not so familiar with it) you might also worry that it may not be in stock at holiday time.

That link doesn't want to work. Here's one site with a black one for $619

Thankyou all! some of the websites that offer the discounted price are not authentic, eluxury and styledrop are the 2 known authentic retailers online.

I called the celine outlet at woodbury common and they have it!! probably not a vast array of colours however it is $650 and guaranteed authentic, I will try there but any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

My only thought was "why would you pay that much for a bag?"

Rizzo,

You sound like my mum! I know it's a rather large amount to pay for a bag, however you are also paying for the craftmanship...I keep telling myself, anyway I earn my money and I love that bag!

My DD lives not too far from Woodbury Commons, and I visited there last summer. One of the things that struck was the number of visitors from outside the US. There were so many. I guess with the weak dollar, a trip to Woodbury Commons would be worth your time. I don't know how you would get there, though.

You can also try Neiman Marcus which carries Celine but I think the NY location in White Plains is about 30 mins from Manhattan. Neiman's is having a huge handbag sale going on right now. They carry Celine and just about every other major handbag designer. Prices get to be around 50% off during and after the holidays. Once you get to NY you can perhpaps phone the the store and see evactly which handbag designers are on sale.

You can also visit that store while in NYC and see what's on sale.

I don't understand why you would waste your holiday by getting on a bus to go to Woodbury Commons to save a paltry $450 on a purse. What a waste of time and energy.

No problem Charlene, hope you find what you're looking for. I only wish we could find handbags at a 50% discount with the exchange rate The Neiman Marcus sales are amazing, also you may want to look at Saks in NY which also has great sales during and after Christmas. I don't think they carry Celine but plenty of other designers also. Sorry for the rude responses, most americans are not snippy like that with strangers thankfully.

Who is being snippy? Obviously, if you can afford to pay almost $700 for a handbag, you aren't struggling, sweetie. Why pay thousands of dollars to take a holiday then run around trying to find a discounted bag? It is not like Woodbury Commons is on Madison Square Park.

And I am as British as Charlene.

Blimey
