That story is an urban myth It's been circulating Las Vegas for over 10 years now! Can't believe you know of the same story it too Tiff Hadn't heard that one for quite a long time

Hi Travelinwifey,

Hmmmmmmmmm, that is bizarre. I mean my Mom worked with the woman that this personally happened to, I wasn't there but I doubt that she would have any reason to lie to my sweet Mom.

Never thought for a moment that someone would question it's authenticity, but I suppose she could have lied to my Mom, we all certainly fell for it if she did.

I think it's kind of funny, I just told my Mom your response and she too, thought her co-worker would have no reason to outright lie. My Mom said, one of the co-workers even saw the note "he wrote" however, my Mom did not.

Could very well be an urban legend, shows how gullible we were, ha.

Sorry if I typed what may have been a false story. I guess pranks may not stop with the teenage years, ha.

Best wishes, Tiff quot;>

I was in Vegas a couple weeks ago staying at Caesar's, where they filmed the final episode of The Contender, a program hosted by Sylvester Stallone. I just happened to get into the same elevator as he and his entourage one evening. He looks a lot bigger on-screen than off.

How SAD is that?!? My Mom believed her, this woman in her 50's for heaven's sake, and I in turn, believed her too.

It reminds me of the other thread that was here before on meeting/seeing celebs long ago... my favorite one was about the lady that was traveling with small children, and having trouble with her bags, JFK, Jr. sent her over a porter to assist, he already tipped him, etc. I believed her too, and in my heart it will be true, she is a Fodorite, so I am sure it is true.

Man, I loathe liars.

The now discouraged, Tiff (Ha, j/k)

This one dates back 20 years. My DW and I were honeymooning in Hawaii, and were waiting for a Kauai helicopter trip in Princeville. A female staff member came over to us just gushing. We hadn't noticed, but Huey Lewis was waiting with a group (don't know if it was "the News" or not) for a helicopter ride at the same time. I took a picture, but didn't want to bother him during his vacation.

Well, I finally have one to report! I just returned from Hawaii, and while waiting for our connecting flight to Maui, my sister swears she saw "Hurley" from the t.v. show Lost!

Thanks everyone, for keeping this thread going.

I once stood beside Mr T in the gift shop- complete with all his chains at a hotel in Toronto- also saw Dick Van Dyke there in the lobby.
and I sat beside Lori Morgan ( country singer) on a plane to Canada. I had no clue who she was but everyone was coming to get her autograph so finally I asked her who she was .

Monday, I saw William "Mr. Vegas" Bennett entering the liquor store at 18th & I, NW in Washington at 11 AM. Pretty early in the day but it was pretty hot outside. Who knows, maybe he was going to buy some lottery tickets?

I saw Snoop Dogg checking into a hotel on Kuhio Avenue just last week. You can read the details in my blog, if you like. http://waikikiweekly.blogspot.com

I'm sitting right now at the fabulous AA LAX Flagship Lounge waiting for my flight to JFK, connecting to Buenos Aires.

Few chairs down from me waiting for his flight is none other than Christoper Walken. He's one of my favorite "psycho character" actors.

This is a 3rd celebrity I ran into at this lounge over last couple of years, but I guess this is LA after all.

Hello,
We spent 8 glorious days on Kauai for our honeymoon last month. We saw Roseanne Barr at the airport in Lihue and turns out she was staying at our resort with her family. She looks good!

A few years ago we went to Los Angeles for a weekend to look around. I had read in a magazine that Fred Segal's was very popular with stars so my husband and I went to have a look. While we were inside having a look we saw Geena Davis. I was totally flabbergasted. I could not get up the nerve to go and ask for her autograph. I also figured she would not want to be bothered as she was with her boyfriend who I did not recognize as being a celebrity. Seeing her just made my day!!! I was thrilled!!

Well the most celebs I've ever seen was on our trip to California on our Warner Brothers tour, 3 Tonight Shows and one tapeing of Friends.

Only actually run into a couple. Andy Dick walked by in San Francisco while we were waiting in line to get on a cable car. He was his usual self but nice to fans. I worked at a hotel in Durango, Colorado while in college and I checked in the Carradine (David and the one in the movie NERDS) brothers. David looked horrible.

Just remembered that I also checked out Betty White from Golden Girls when I worked at another hotel in Denver around '99. She was such a nice lady. No Drew Barrymore for me...

Just sat next to the British actor Bob Hoskins at lunch last Sunday. There's a million of 'em here for the Toronto International Film Festival but I have trouble recognizing stars unless they're 40 feet tall and on a screen in front of me.

Alec Baldwin in 1998 at the Hilton Waikaloa Village concierge room. I was having breakfast when he walked in and up to the concierge desk and said, "I would like to check on my tee time". The concierge girl looked him in the eye and said; "Name please". He looked very offended and said loudly and with ennunciation, "BALDWIN". She gave him the time and he stomped out of the room. His brother Billy was there at the time. He approached 20 something, bikini clad girl who was working for the sand sculpture in celebration of "Dolphin Days" at the time. He indicated that he and his wife found her attractive and would like her to call him when she got back to California. She was quite offended but didn't know quite how to respond to a guest.
