Cedar Point Restaurants

Hoping to find some decent restaurants outside of the park. Will be arriving the night before and are looking for dinner reservations (kid friendly) and also breakfast.

Thanks Julie

There are many restaurants in Sandusky.

Try this link for a lot of restaurants:

I don't think there is a national restaurant chain that is NOT in Sandusky.

Try the Jolly Donut for Breakfast,on 250 south bound side. It is diner style but they are very kid friendly.

Thanks for the link. I was hoping for a recommendation for a non-chain restaurant. You know the ones---only the locals know about them and they don't look all that great from the outside but the food is terrific. These are our favorite restaurants wherever we go

Hi Julie:

I don't know if you left yet, but my sister (who lives in OH) just took my nephews to the Great Bear Lodge and she said they ate at Ryan's Buffet and the food was really good. Hope this helps. Enjoy Cedar Point.

Thanks for the replies. Just got back from a wonderful time at CP. Ate at Margaritaville---very reasonably priced and good food. Worth the few minute drive to get there. Also ate at Toft's ice cream (twice)--the best we've ever had!!
We had our last meal this afternoon at TGIF's. The prices seemed a bit higher but the food was very good.
Stayed at Howard Johnson's Express right at the end of the causeway. Had a few nice amenities like in room coffee maker and iron/board in room but not very clean. The price was right but will not stay there again.
Am happy to answer any specific questions if anyone has them.

Julie

Hi Julie. Glad to hear that Margaritaville is still good. I think they changed hands. And Toft's is a wonderful place for ice cream. There are a couple of places in downtown Sandusky that are good also. As for TGIFriday's, IMO, their food is not as good as it used to be.

Hi. I'll be staying at the Ramada on Milan Road (250?). Are Margaritaville and Toft's on Milan also?

Hi Rachelle-Both places are on US Rt. 6 to get there from Milan Rd. take Rt. 2 West and exit on Rt. 6, about 3 exits, turn left. Margaritaville will be on your left and Toft's is further down on your left.
