Carribean Beach Resort

Can anyone tell me whether we can actually walk to Epcot from this resort? Or will be be locked into using the bus system if we don't want to drive?
We are looking to visit just Epcot for one day. Also considering Boardwalk or Yacht club resorts which I know are within walking distance from Epcot.
Thanks.

I don't believe you can walk. I don't remember exactly where this property is, but I believe it's near the MGM Studio and Typhoon Lagoon. But, I don't think you can walk to either of them.

No you cannot walk from CBR to Epcot. There is really nothing within walking distance to CBR. You can easily walk from Boardwalk and Yacht club. From CBR you would need to take the bus or drive anywhere.

Thanks for the quick responses. I think we will be looking for a hotel within walking distance to Epcot.

If you have kids, the pool at the Beach/Yacht Club is great. (Although, I found with small kids it was hard to keep an eye on them when they were using the slide.)

Fairway, The Swan and Dolphin are also within walking distance to Epcot. Even though they are not technically Disney hotels (they are Starwood brand, I think) they still have most of the same priveleges as Disney hotels. Oh and also the Beach Club resort which is right next to the Yacht club.

I vote for the Yacht/Beach club in your case.

IN addition to walking to EPCOT, (and then taking the Monorail from EPCOT elsewhere), they used to also have a boat service to MGM studios. Don't know if they still run that boat but it was VERY convenient when I stayed there (many years ago!!)
