Kate - Will you be returning the car to Phoenix, or dropping at another city?

joescore - we will dropping it back to Phoenix airport upon return - however staying at Scotsdale the night before the flight so guess it could be collected from there but had planned to take back to airport before the flight.

Does it make any major difference to the price re pick up and drop off locations?

Also anyone have any latest thoughts on best rental company to go through?

Thanks Kate

Also americacarhire.com has good rates - seems much cheaper than going direct to Avis or Alamo.

I have a full size car reserved for a week through National, pick up and return to Phoenix in April for $230 incl. taxes(w/ their emerald card.) It by far the best rate I was quoted. FYI Alamo was $356 for a full size, Budget was $331, Dollar was $312 and Avis was $370. I considered an SUV(Ford Escape) from Budget for $329 but I couldn't pass up that rate from National! I reserved by phone.
