My husband and I spent a week long stay in Cape May last July and absolutely enjoyed it. Grant it we are from NJ (northern) but find Cape May a lot different then your typical "Jersey" Shore places - such as Pt. Pleasant, Seaside, etc. There are excellent restaurants, nearby wineries and a nice beach to relax on.
You can check out my blog that I posted last year. Any questions, I'd be happy to help!

At this time, we are only discussing Cape May for a possible home exchange. So no other options on the Jersey Shore. If this falls through, we will probably look for an exchange closer to home unless someone writes me and suggests something really wonderful!!
Thank you, yestravel. Nice to know someone read my VA trip report
Also, thanks to Nov-moon, susann. elberko, and
susieQQ for your thoughtful replies.

Decisions, decisions. . . We have decided not to accept the exchange. We were offered in the end one week, possibly 10 days. This relatively short time period just does not suit our traveling needs. We prefer longer stays if we have to board a plane flight. There's all these wonderful side trips and with only a wk or 10 days, we would not get to see much more than the immediate area. I hope we made the right decision, but the email has been sent. Thanks everyone for your postings.
