Cape May, NJ 50th birthday dinner

Any suggestions for the best place to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday in mid-September? It will be just the two of us, away for the weekend. His favorite meal tends to be pasta with a seafood sauce. Not too concerned about cost.

the Washington Inn has ambience and great food--
The Water's Edge as well. I hear that 410 Bank Street is one of the best as well!! Good luck--

Go with the Washington Inn. You will love it. You need to make reservations far in advance. Good Luck

My husband and I always go to Peter Shield's Inn when we go to Cape May. It's a bed and breakfast as well as a restaurant. It's right on the ocean, the food is outstanding, and it is incredibly romantic. It's where we spent our 1st wedding annivesary. You might want to spend the night--you'll love it!

My boyfriend and I had the most romantic meal at The Washington Inn on our first visit to Cape May. Make reservations early and tell them its a birthday and you'd like a special table. We ate in an alcove that gave us alittle privacy and the food was one of the best meals I have ever eaten. There is also a nice lounge to have drinks in if you have to wait for your table. The crab cakes are a must have. Make sure you check out the ladies room too, it sounds strange but its so pretty, the prettiest ladies room I have ever been in.
