Can't decide between 3 hotels!!!

I will be visiting NOLA for the 1st time this summer. I've read most of the New Orleans related posts, and have narrowed down my hotel choices to the following: Le Richelieu, Dauphine Orleans, and Place D'Armes - all in the FQ. They are all $85.00 per night in August. I've been leaning toward Richelieu, but the Dauphine has free breakfast and transportation around the FQ. However, it's near the northern section of the Quarter (bad area?). Place D'Armes seems the most centrally located, but the Richelieu gets many recommendations on this board. Any help is appreciated. (Sorry for rambling)!

Place d'Armes has newer rooms than most places in the Quarter,it also has a nice courtyard. And the location is perfect. We love it and have recommended it to friends who were very happy with it. JMHO

Does anyone know how to contact these hotels on-line? I will be going to New Orleans for one night in early October and would rather spend my money on a great meal than my hotel. My husband and I have been to NO before, so we don't need to do all the nightlife wandering to all the bars, etc. We will do some walking for a good meal!!!!

Thanks.

Tracy - Because of good weather and huge conventions, October is the busiest month of the year in New Orleans. You'll be lucky to find a room at all. I'd book anything you can get as soon as possible.

I stayed at the Place d'Armes about 5 years ago and loved the hotel. It definitely is centrally located, an easy walk to everything in the quarter. The last time I was in N.O. I stayed in the Garden District and it was nice, but I would definitely stay at the Place d'Armes again.
