CANADA'S ATLANTIC COAST

Planning a trip to Canada's Atlantic Coast...
Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, Prince Edward Island
etc... Anyone have suggestions on sights, activities, hotels/inns? We are starting from scratch on this trip!

We were on a Tauck Tour in that area a couple of years ago. I highly recommend: The Pines Resort in Digby, NS, Gisele's Country Inn, Baddeck, NS, Keltic Lodge, Ingonish, NS and Liscombe Lodge, Liscombe, NS. They were all terrific facilities and wonderful locations. We also stayed at Prince Edward Hotel, Charlottetwn, PEI, and Hotel Halifax in Halifax, NS. Many times, when planning a trip, we pick up tour brochures from travel agencies and look through to find places they use for accomodations and also, daily tour ideas.

Hi Laura, I haven't been out to the east coast but here are a couple of websites with loads of info.
www.city.net/countries/canada and http://www.cs.cmu.edu/Unofficial/Can...ravelogue.html
Hope you can use these to help make your plans. Have a great trip.

Hi,If you are coming to Nova Scotia you shouldn't miss the worlds highest tides! I think the best place to get the full impact is at Five Islands on the Minsa Basin. You should spend an entire day exploring the shore,a good place to do this is at the Five Islands Provincial Park. Another intresting place to visit is Parsboro (only 30 minutes from Five Islands), you can look for semi-precious stones on the beach, and eat excellent seafood at the local resturants. E-mail me for more info. Have fun

Laura:

I think you've rec'd some good advice so far. If you could provide me with some idea of your interests, time of visit and length of stay etc, I'd be pleased to offer suggestions. I live in the Halifax area and have travelled through out the Maritimes.
