Can you help us with Seattle Attractions?

My family of 5 and I will be traveling to Seattle in a few weeks. We've never visited before. What are some of the things we shouldn't miss out on?

Thanks for your Help.

I was in Seattle area for vacation in June of 1997. Make sure that you stop by the downtown fish market - its lots of fun and you can get some great souveniers and photo ops - its a landmark. Also, if you have a car, drive out to Mt. Ranier - it is the huge, volcano/mountain which you can see on clear days from Seattle. It is beautiful. Good luck and have fun.

Hi, I read your message, and thought I'd try from my viewpoint to answer. I don't live in Seattle, I live about a 3 hour drive away. Go to Pikes market, also there is the space neddle, and the neddle is in Seattle center, which has many things to do. Also the waterfront is a great place.,Also the zoo is nice. And for restraunts, if you like theme ones, seattle now has a Planet Hollywood. If you are there during thier festival, they also have a boat race on the lake. Hydro boat races. just a little vit of info, to maybe help you out a little.

As mentioned before, the seattle center, and Pikes street Mk is a must see..Also just down the hill from Pike street is the water front..Dont miss walking along there..The Ye old curiosity shop
is kinda funky..its at the north end of the waterfront.. For something a little differant try
the underground tour..Its starts in the pioneer square block..look for a awning in front of a bar
that reads "underground tour"..If you didnt know..
Old Seattle was destroyed by fire in the hmmmm
think it was late 1800's maybe early 1900...anyway..
instead of tearing the buildings down, they just build right on top of them..So a section of downtown
Seattle is on top of very old buildings..Guides take you threw some of these buildings..The guides are also budding comedians, so its really fun.
For a postcard view of Downtown, drive to the opposite side of Elliot Bay. Think the road is called Harbor Drive,,This road will also take you to a wonderfull beach.
Hope this helps..have fun!!

we have lots of wonderful things to see and do here in Seattle. In addition to the above, you
can drive around the Peninsula, see Port Townsend,or maybe take the boat from Seattle up to Vancouver Island and visit Victoria. You can drive out to scenic Leavenworth,or go up to Snoqualmie Falls and have a great breakfast at the Salish Lodge. You can go out to the coast if you have time. You'll have a great time, and don't believe everything you hear about the rain!!
