Can you help me find the distance?

Hello, I am trying to determine the distance from Washington DC to the town of Mendota Heights in Minnesota. I'll be traveling there with my college buds and we need to figure out the best route of travel (by car.)Can you help us by informing us of the distance and possibly directions for a quick route? Thank you so much for your time. Hope to hear back asap.

Herb,
Distance from Washington to Mendota Heights, a suburb of Minneapolis is about 1200 miles by Interstate. From Washington take Interstate 95 north to Baltimore's beltway I 695; I 695 to Interstate 83 north to Harrisburg, Pa. Pick up Pennsylvania Turnpike (I 76)west bound to Ohio Turnpike (I 80). Continue on I 80 to Indiana; route is now I 80/I90 into Chicago. In Chicago follow I 90 north to Portage Wisconsin to I 94 which goes into Minneapolis.

Just did this last month!!!!! I disagree slightly with the above! From the Beltway (495) take 270 which runs into 70. Continue on 70 to the Pa. Turnpike (76 west) From that directly into the Ohio and then Indiana Turnpike (I 80 west) Which merges with I-90. That gets you to Chicago. From there on you're on your own. I know that once we figured it was approx. 750 miles from DC to Chicago--I think. It's a long and very boring drive through Ohio and Indiana! Hope there's more than one driver, but you're young.
