Can we take own drinks/snacks into Disney Parks?
I've heard a bottle of water can cost almost $5 in the Disney Parks. Can my family take along an insulated bag with bottled water and juice boxes for the kids? We would carry it in the stroller basket. Thanks!

I've done it both times we've been to Disney and never had a problem. No one even asks. I think it's essential. Also, my son has allergies so I have to bring in his food. If anyone gives you a hard time you can tell them your child can't eat the stuff in the park.

Disney has an official policy about bringing in food. They probably will overlook a bottle of water. Also, things have probably tightened up since 911.
Disney isn't easy doing like some other parks that have picnic tables outside the park to accommodate customers. But I guess they know they're unique.

Hi Amy,
I've always brought juice boxes & trail mix into the Disney parks (& Universal & Sea World) with me. No one has ever searched my backpack and we've never felt that bringing in your own stuff wasn't "common practice".
Perhaps things have changed since Sept.?

I don't think you can bring a roll-a-round cooler, if that is what you mean. I would definetly bring in a back pack as traveling with kids you will need all the extra space you can get. Your stroller is a great idea...you shouldn't have any problems. You may also consider renting a stroller, there..I think it is $5 or $7 / day and they have double strollers, too. We went last year with our 5 and 7 year old and ended up renting a stroller for both of them. Worth the $$ and convenience.

We took water bottles and snacks to the parks when we visited in October, 2001. Our bags were searched, but we didn't have any problems bringing them in.
I wouldn't worry about theft if you are planning to bring your own stroller, unless it is top of the line. Just make sure you don't leave your valuables in the basket when you go on the rides.
