camping supplies

We will be flying out to Vegas to start our trip to the Grand Canyon, Bryce and Zion. We are packing a few camping supplies for the plane but can not bring our fuel canister for our tiny stove on the plane. Anyone know of an outdoors store near the Grand Canyon we would be able to buy one?

North Rim or South Rim? Actually both sides have camping supply stores.

Look in the Las Vegas Yellow Pages for camping supply stores. It will be cheaper than buying the items in the National park stores.

What kind of stove do you have? GAZ? In the US in the last ten years a lot of companies have started offereing propane stoves, but their canisters are not always compatible with each other. I would get to an REI store in Las Vegas (there's one in Henderson, NV) or another large camping supplies store. I don't know about the Grand Canyon, but I once tried to buy a stove canister at Sequoia NP, they had canisters, but none that were compatible with my stove. No problem. I bought a pizza next door and kept it warm on the grill at the edge of the fire ring at our campsite.
