We stopped there last Aug on our way to the Canyon and ate lunch - Navajo tacos (fry bread topped with roasted beef, beans, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce) - and enjoyed browsing thru both the trinkets and the true artifacts (esp the rugs and watching the process of their weaving). Didn't realize it was a motel too until we pulled in - it looked to be like a typical motor-type lodge...I would at least recommend a stop there if not an overnight.

We also stopped for lunch and some shopping - it is in the middle of nowhere and the only place to gas up, eat, etc for miles and miles. Not sure it is worth an overnight unless that fits into your driving schedule.
