Hi. Was wondering if anyone has been to the Larkmead Country Inn. Looks like a great location. The prices are reasonable too. I think the Larkmead winery in at the same location. It's not mentioned in either website. I was just curious if they are connected. Also, was checking out the Lavender Hill Spa. Is it any good, or is there better? It's only going to be my husband and I. We were looking for a good couples spa. Thanks!

Can't comment on the Inn, but my husband and I have been to the Lavender Hill Spa and loved it. Like a lot of guys, spas aren't his thing but the staff made him feel very comfortable and he ended up enjoying the experience.

If you're looking for an awesome dining experience, make reservations at the restaurant of the Culinary Institute of America. It was great.

Thanks! We are very excited about the culinary institute. We'll be having lunch there. We also heard that the Glenn Ellen inn restaurant is pretty good, although I can't find much info on their cottages. have you ever stayed there?

R5(a Sonoma/Napa maeven)recommends Golden Haven for couples. We were just in Calistoga and spa'd at Indian Springs. I don't know if one can couple there as we had individual treatments and they were very good. Check out their website for cottage information as well. For a great deep tissue massage at Indian Springs, ask for Linda.

We stayed in the bungalows, they're very nice. www.indianspringscalistoga.com Their website used to have my story under guest stories, but I haven't checked to see if it's there in a long time.

The Olympic pool is heaven on earth, you won't want to come out once you're in there! It is open until midnight for guests at the resort and you can use it until five pm if you have spa treatments. Enjoy and don't miss Wappo Bar and Bistro for a meal.

It also depends on if you want to do a true mud bath or a mud wrap like
treatment. You can do a true bath at
Indian Springs (not couple) and Golden Haven (as a couple). I agree with Pam
and Kim that staying at Indian Springs
is superb, and if you don't mind seperate treatments, stay there. Or stay there (so you can swim in the pool
late at night) and try a duo treatment
at Golden Haven. If you are not doing a true bath-then Lavender Hill has very nice couples treatments.
Enjoy!
