The evening programs are really good - Lanthorn is interesting and Cry Witch is very informative. The Ghost Tour (one that starts at the W&M Bookstore) is great. CW evening programs are really most all interesting - some less interesting than others but let your likes and dislikes guide you. Fat Canary is definitely the most creative place in town - nothing else comes close. For cheap eats, we love Aromas and the Greenleafe - the "Leafe". It's a pub with great beer and really good food - you won't find other tourists there. The Colonial Parkway is lovely and Yorktown has really improved with the new riverfront there. Try the Watermans Museum - it will give you an idea how many people in this area make/made their living. If you spend lots of time at Jamestown Island and want to head next to the Settlement, the Settlement Cafe is pretty good. I hope you enjoy our wonderful area (and C'ville - I am a UVA grad and Charlottesville is one special place!).

OBXgirl - I always learn something new from you!
