BUZZ'S STEAK AND LOBSTER OAHU

Does anyone know if Buzz's Steak and Lobster(think that was the name, in hotel behind Outrigger Reef)is still there. I know they were doing a lot of construction in that area and did not know if that was one of the hotels to be razed. It was one of our favorite places for an inexpensive breakfast and some cheap mai tais before 6pm.

I'll bet that Suze has an answer for this question.

It closed several months ago.

It was one of several casualties of the construction.

Don't know if they were connected, but Buzz's Original Steak house is still going strong out in Pearl City, and possibly in Kailua as well.

Obviously not really convenient for a Waikiki based breakfast though!

Was Buzz' Steak House "related" to Buzz' Wharf on Maui?
Also, did Buzz' used to be called Chuck's at one point?

Thanks for the info, does anyone know a good place like that(not fast food or a mainland chain) that serves a good inexpensive breakfast, or somewhere for some good cheap afternoon cocktails.

Buzz's is closed???!! Oh no!!

For non-chain bkfast, there's Eggs n Things on Kalakaua. From where Buzz's was, it's about a ten minute walk back up Saratoga, or through Ft De Russy Park, and left (Ewa/ West direction) down Kalakaua.
They have huge servings, and it's very popular. I thought the omelettes were kind of greasy, but kids loved the pancakes.

sad but true... Buzz's Steak & Lobster House on Saratoga is no more. I'm gonna miss that place and can't think of anything else nearby that is similar. They're sprucing everything up, much to my dismay. I liked it fine the way it was.
