I'm going to San Diego on a business trip in mid-December for about 4 days. I've never been there before and would like to make the most of the time I'll have there. I'll be traveling with a co-worker who is also a good friend. She's been having a lot of personal problems lately and I think this will be a good getaway for her. But because it's a business trip, we'll only have evenings free so does anyone have any suggestions on fun things we can do after 5pm on weeknights? I'm hoping we can stay one extra day (Saturday) so we can have one day to ourselves, but not sure about that yet. Thanks!

Well that all depends on what you like to do,I would try to catch the sunset at the Hotel Del Coronado on Coronado Island.It has a nice bar and a couple of resteruants and its just minutes from downtown.Which is where I would go next,the Gaslamp Quarter is very nice.

take a stroll around old town or go to the gas light district for dinner

where are you staying? will you have a car? what do you like? bars? dancing? strolls on a beach? hiking? expensive restaurants or cheap? age range would be helpful too.
