Busch gardens vs Island of adventure

Is Busch Gardens equivalent to (Island of adventure plus Animal Kingdom)?
Thank you for any advice,
Rose

No not really.
It does have animals like Animal Kingdom and it does have coasters like IOA but that is where the comparisons end. IMO Islands is in a league of its own. If you want a great park with thrill rides and high tech rides like spiderman there is no better place in Orlando. If you want animals and some decent rides as well Animal Kingdom is better than Busch IMO.
Busch was a fun day and well worth the trip but I wouldnt put it in the same league as either of those two.

Busch Gardens has the best roller coaster I've ever experienced: Sheikra. You dangle in a car 200 feet above ground then drop straight (90 degrees) into a hole. The Park also offers free beer to adults. The animals areas are quite interesting, if not life changing. Its rides are superior to those of Animal Kingdom.

That said, my children think Universal Orlando has the best high tech rides and attractions of any park. Spiderman is sensational. If you go, stay at a park hotel to get access without waiting in long lines to virtually all attractions.

If you want to see Busch Gardens in the best way possible (IMO) then spring for the special guided tours/adventures that put you in the front of the lines for all the rides and also let you get up close and personal with the animals (feeding the giraffes, for example).

It is NOT cheap but we found it to be worth every penny and more than equivalent to the Universal opportunity which simply puts you at the front of all the lines.

Thanks for all the answers.
IŽm going to take my daughters (15 and 12 yo.) and really in a doubt if will drive to Tampa.
Is Busch Gardens too crowded in Christmas time?
WeŽll stay in Orlando, but not in Universal hotel, from 18th to 29th.

All those parks are crowded at Christmas. The time you are there before Christmas should be OK though.
